Isabel Jubes-Flamerich is an education leader, elected school board trustee, architect, designer, and longtime advocate for educational equity, sustainability, and student success. Originally from Venezuela, Isabel brings her experience as an immigrant, parent, educator, and community leader to her work advancing opportunity and excellence in public education.
She holds a BA in Architecture and an MA in Architecture and Environmental Design from UC Berkeley, along with postgraduate studies in sustainability and the arts. She has taught architecture at community colleges and has produced and hosted hundreds of bilingual educational radio/podcast programs from Stanford University for more than a decade.
Isabel currently serves as President of the California Association of Latino Leaders in Education (CALLE), where she works to elevate Latino leadership and advance educational excellence across California. She also serves in leadership roles with the Santa Clara County School Boards Association and the California School Boards Association. As a local school board trustee, she has championed equitable, sustainable learning environments, student achievement, and strong public investment in education.
