This workshop will focus on the expansion of the State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB) and actions that governing board can take to increase access. It will be an opportunity for school board members to learn about the SSB and reflect on strategies to ensure that more students have an opportunity to attain it. Strategies will focus on both supporting students in high school and on creating multiple pathways to biliteracy from PK-12th grade, including through expanding dual language programs and implementing the multilingual pathway recognition awards.
